Story

 Lavendon Group Cycle Challenge 2012

Employees from the world’s largest specialist access rental business, Lavendon Group plc, are coming together to complete an international Cycle Challenge.

Four mixed teams of employees from Nationwide Platforms (UK), Gardemann (Germany), Lavendon (France) and dk rental (Belgium) will be completing the 790 km ride in a relay event that will touch each of the four countries.

The Cycle Challenge will begin on 18th September in Gardemann’s Alpen depot and finish on 26th September 2012 in Lutterworth, UK, the Lavendon Group’s international headquarters. The route will see the cyclists pass through the business’ powered access depots on each day of the challenge.

The UK team is raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Nationwide Platforms will enter all who sponsor the event into a free prize draw* for one of the high-spec Specialized bikes being used by the volunteers. Once we have reached a target of £700 we will enter a second bike into the free prize draw.

The draw and announcement of a winner will take place after the completetion of the cycle challenge.

*This is a free prize draw, all those who do not wish to donate towards Cancer Research UK, can still enter the prize draw by sending an email to sustainability@nationwideplatforms.co.uk.
